Difficulty Waking Up – a Bed Shaking Vibrating Alarm Clock Can Help

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

It isn’t news that a lot of people have difficulty waking up on time in the mornings. Most often it is not such a big deal to sleep an extra 5 or 10 minutes. However, there are occasions when we must get up on time to do the thing we are supposed to do.

If you are studying, missing the final examinations (held only once per year) at a university can mean wasting one whole year of study and not getting the degree certifications that you work so hard for. If you are working and stuck in an unrewarding position, missing the potentially career changing early morning interview for a dream job that comes up only once in a while can also be very frustrating. Of course things do not have to be as dramatic as I have just described. However, if you are persistently late coming to work, chances are sooner or later you are going to get the sack.

So what can you do to help you with waking up in the morning? There are really two things you can do. First, get better sleep. Second, get a better alarm clock.

Let’s look at the first thing you can do. Getting better sleep usually means having a long enough sleep on a comfortable bed and going to bed at about the same time every night. It is also important to pay attention to the air ventilation, temperature and humidity in the bedroom.

Now let’s look at the second. You should invest in a good alarm clock. The problem is that not all alarm clocks are born equal and they differ a lot in their features and power. Many alarm clocks are simply not loud enough (or not unpleasant enough). Fortunately there is a special type of alarm clocks which combine a loud siren-like alarm and a vibrating bed shaker. The vibrating shaker can be placed underneath a pillow or a mattress and will shake fairly violently when it is time to get up. The secret of success for a vibrating alarm clock is to make your life lying in bed so unpleasant that getting out of bed is a better alternative. This strategy has been shown to work. Many people find it highly unbearable having to put up with not only a siren-like alarm but also a shaking bed.

So what is the end result? You get out of bed. Problem solved!

The Amazon Kindle 2: Is It Good For Students & Academic Professionals?

The Amazon Kindle 2 is not just a device for people who are leisurely readers. Many professionals are looking to the Kindle for their work-related documents. Many students trying to eliminate the burden of carrying dozen of books on their backs are also interested in the Kindle and how it may help them in their studies. There are pros and cons to the Kindle in these respects and the ultimate deal-maker or breaker for you is going to require you to weigh the pros against the cons.

As these are primarily created for computers, digital versions of text books and other reading materials professionals often use, are commonly in MS Word and PDF format. Here’s lies the catch: the Kindle 2 does not natively support PDF files and this is one important thing that individuals have to consider before going ahead and buying one. Of course, there are ways of converting files to make them readable for the Kindle 2, but the process could be tedious, and the results, hit or miss.

Fortunately, there are some ways to deal with these problems. The most popular thing people are doing is sending their documents to Amazon and paying to have them converted. While it isn’t extremely expensive, converting dozens or even hundreds of files can require time and money that a college student just doesn’t have. Nickels and dimes do eventually start to add up. If you are computer-savvy you may find it easier to download file conversion programs and do it yourself. It still requires time to do and has a learning curve that might put some people off.

But the mere fact that students and professionals are interested in switching to the Kindle for their reading needs must mean that there are benefits to this move. An obvious one is the size and portability. No more heavy textbooks, no more bulky backpacks, no more sore backs. It could also save you money. How, you may ask, when the Kindle 2 costs a few hundred dollars? You’re forgetting that digitalized versions of books are priced lower than their printed copies so while the purchase might cost more upfront, you will get to see the savings over time. And in this digital age, many college professors are giving PDF materials for students to study. Instead of browsing it on the PC, why not on the Kindle?

You have to weight the pros and cons to determine if making the switch to the Kindle 2 is worth it for you. If you are put off by the thought of converting you files, you may not be interested in the Kindle. But if lugging your paperwork everywhere is starting to take its toll, it may be worth the extra effort to save yourself from the burden. And there is always the option of upgrading to the new Kindle DX, which comes standard with the ability to read PDF files.

Use Face Book And Twitter To Sell More Ebooks And Build Your Business

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Social networking has made the process of marketing your eBook much easier. By having a presence on Facebook and Twitter you can position yourself as an expert in your field in a very short time. Even while you are still writing your eBook get started on these two social media sites and become the goto person in your niche.

Facebook now has more than one hundred million members so the best way to let people know about you and your eBook is to start your own group. for more detialswww.ebookmarketingexposed.com. You can use the title of your eBook as the title of the group you create provided it is filled with your keywords.

You can invite your Facebook friends to join your group but people will also be able to find your group by typing your keywords into Google or any other search engine. For example if you type ebook writing and technology into Google my Facebook group is number one. How cool is that?

You will also want to create a page on Facebook with the name of the eBook as the title. A page is separate from your profile in that it is specifically about your business or your product which in this case is your eBook.

This page will also rank high in the search engines but that is not the only way it will help people to find you and your eBook. When you create a page you can also import your blogs RSS feed into the page. This means that every time you make a post to your blog it will automatically be syndicated into Facebook. Even though you can do this in other areas of Facebook being able to import your blog where you are writing about your niche topic will give your eBook even more exposure.

My strong recommendation is that you purchase a domain name that is the same as the name of your eBook and then forward that domain to your page on Facebook. Your blogs domain name can be something very similar or it can be exactly the same with a different extension. For example your blog may end with dot come whereas your Facebook page may end with dot net. for visit detialswww.eazyebookmoney.com.This is a great way to take full advantage of your keywords while branding your name and your niche at the same time.

Twitter is the other major player in the social networking arena. You can set up your account to automatically tweet your blog posts at certain times each day. When you write about your eBook in one of your blog posts anyone who is following you on Twitter will see what you have written.

Even though you are limited to 140 characters with each tweet you can shorten your links by using a site such as tinyurl or bitly. This enables you to provide great information about your eBook in the space you are allowed. You may also want to give out a sample chapter to your Twitter followers so that they can see if this is something they will be interested in purchasing. I recommend doing this while you are still writing so that you will already have prospects when you are ready to make sales.

The combination of Facebook Twitter and your blog will give you the online presence you need in order to sell your eBook and become known to your target audience. By seeing your name in so many places you will be able to attract new prospects and clients on a regular basis.

By getting involved in social networking right now you will be able to position yourself as the expert in your niche. People will know who you are and associate you with your topic. There has never been a better time to be online than right now and social networking speeds up the process of building your list and gaining the credibility and visibility necessary to sell your eBook and building your online empire.
