Omega – The Mystery Tourbillon
Monday, May 31st, 2010
Known for its high-performance watches and moon watches (the watch of NASA), Omega has also produced a Mystery Tourbillon. “Mystery†watches have been produced before (for example, LeCoultre created one); a mystery tourbillon is indeed a rare combination. One came up for auction in 2005 – and was sold for just fewer than thirty four thousand dollars. This watch movement is so complex that perhaps only a master maker like Omega could create such a thing. The thing was introduced in 1994 and is such complex piece of manufacturing that very few are ever made. It is called a mystery tourbillon for the reason that it does have a tourbillon and the hours are indicated without traditional hands. Omega called it the “De Ville Central Tourbillonâ€.
If you have to have one, you must realize that this is an extremely rare watch due to its highly complicated movement. Only a very select few can have one. The suggestion is that you seek out your quality replica watch dealer. Impossible but true, just such a time piece is available in the marketplace. A very good model is the RW replica Omega De Ville Tourbillon. Just like the original, the tourbillon is set exactly in the center – where the dial hands are normally set! Where are the dial hands? They are set precisely on the tourbillon’s outer cut-away rim. That in itself is an outstanding achievement in watch making and engineering. The case and band are also set in “rose gold†and the bezel is set in “diamondsâ€. This watch is an absolute must have.
Even more amazing is the fact that there are more than one in this collection – there are several! As always, a favorite is the skeleton cut-away dial chronograph. The skeleton face shows the fine and intricate movement of this wonderful watch. Both the tourbillon and the dial markers seem to float mysteriously in space. Make either or both of these your choices for replica Omega watches.
